This whale watching tour takes passengers on a two-hour journey along Oahu’s North Shore to observe the majestic humpback whales that migrate to Hawaii each winter. The experienced crew shares interesting facts about these gentle giants and any other marine life encountered during the tour. While sightings cannot be guaranteed, the crew utilizes their expertise to increase the chances of spotting these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.

During whale season, which typically runs from December to May, the warm waters of Oahu play host to a spectacular natural event: the annual migration of humpback whales. These majestic creatures travel thousands of miles from their feeding grounds in Alaska to breed and give birth in the waters around Hawaii. One amazing fact about this phenomenon is that humpback whales sing complex songs that can last for up to 20 minutes, which can be heard by other whales hundreds of miles away. These songs play a crucial role in communication and may also serve as a means of attracting mates. So, while you’re out on your whale-watching tour, keep an ear out for these beautiful underwater serenades!

We went out on a sunset, whale watch tour, and captain Cal did not disappoint! We had the most AMAZING experience. There were whales all around us. We were able to hear them talking underwater, and seeing them surface all around us was breathtaking. We also saw spinner dolphins, huge sea turtles, and an absolutely gorgeous sunset. I would highly recommend this experience 🩷it was our best night on Oahu!

Great experience with Captain Zack. We did a whale private tour and the Captain was very accommodating. He asked about music preferences as he gave us tons of information about the whales, the island, and anything in general we asked. We saw a few whales including an infant breach(!) and a perfect tandem whale breach. Well worth the price and would go again.. maybe next time a dive!

A great way to see Oahu from the water! The views of Diamond Head were spectacular. We unfortunately did not see any whales on our trip. We are looking forward to rebooking soon to try again! Other than that, the trip was still beautiful and everyone had a great time. The staff were super friendly and fun! They made the trip!

This experience is a must while your in Hawaii! We had the pleasure of going whale watching with captain Zach! He was knowledgeable about whales and other marine life. He not only taught us so much about why whales come to hawaii, but made sure we saw so many humpback whales. I am so glad we met him and had this experience. Next time I’m visiting I will be booking the snorkeling with sharks with captain Zach.

AWESOME EXPERIENCE!! Captain Cal and his marine biologist staff were so knowledgeable about the sharks and different native species of Hawaii. We saw two whales, sea turtles, and had a huge pod of dolphins play around our boat! The 6 person limit made the tour feel intimate and like we had our own personal educators for two hours. I had never snorkeled before so I was nervous, (especially to learn while free diving with 8 foot sharks!) but our safety diver, Maddie, was so calm and reassuring. I felt very safe and secure in the water. Would recommend this once in a lifetime opportunity to anyone visiting the island of Oahu!

Amazing experience! We saw so many whales and the boat captain made the experience so much fun! I’ve lived on the island for 17 years and my only regret is not doing this tour years ago! I would highly recommend it!
