My wife and I are 62 years old and were a bit concerned about paddling 5-miles thru the ocean. As it turned out, we showed the youngsters on this trip some “true grit” in very tough, windy seas. Cavello was an excellent paddling coach and guide who gave us the inspiration to go for it. We even caught a couple of nice waves to surf our way back to shore. I highly recommend this trip…

Carrie and Kewalo were excellent guides in and out of the water. Almost none of our party were locals but they made us feel welcome in the spirit of sharing Hawaiian culture specifically relevant to the Kailua Bay region, as well as the traditional stories behind its sites. If you and a few friends want to have a great time rowing out in the bay and learning something at the same time they’re exactly what you want.

We really enjoyed this excursion. But be prepared to paddle! Great paddle. To the island and walk around a bit. Jumped inside the queens’ bath and learned about some local legends. Great afternoon.

I’d highly recommend the paddling canoe adventure. Toby & John were fabulous. Fun & informative, I’d go again! You WILL get wet! Love, love, loved it!
